8 years ago the Reisterstown Wrestling Program was re-established as Reisterstown Raiders Wrestling. Our goal has been to become the premier youth wrestling program in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. After 8 years of building we’ve hit a plateau. It has become clear that we can only accomplish our goal by expanding further geographically.
While competing this year against our closest neighbors and friends, the Owings Mills Wrestling program, and talking with Brian Saval, head OM coach, we learned they had the same goal and had also reached the same conclusion. So, after further discussion and planning, the Reisterstown and Owings Mills programs are merging to become Raiders Northwest Wrestling.
Our combined coaching and administrative volunteers, event planners and facilities, fund raising and geography will allow us to break through our stalled growth and enable us to offer our wrestlers new opportunities at all levels; from zero experience, some experience, intermediate, advanced, to the most advanced all-star levels.
This new organization has a new web site: www.RaidersNW.com. This site will remain as a reference until January 2013.
